Voltolini Nasal Speculum

The Voltolini Nasal Speculum helps surgeons to examine and treat diseases in the nose, like bleeding. Therefore, the instrument helps remove foreign bodies in the nose cavity or place packs to stop the blood. During the exam, you can also take a biopsy to detect tumors or infections.

Surgeons place the speculum to widen the opening as they cut masses in the nose. Therefore, we designed its handle with a screw lock to give a self-retaining function. Moreover, the lock is adjustable so you can control the size of the opening.

Start by placing the closed duckbill blades in the nares. Then, use the handle to open them slowly. We made the retracting edges of the blades with a blunt outline to prevent tissue injury. In addition, the two blades have a large cone so you can view the nasal cavity clearly.
