The Turvey Palatal Expander offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to break the palatomaxillary suture during procedures that require reaching deeper cavities.

For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of rectangular blades that fit the suture’s edges. In addition, the outer serrations of the jaws permit optimal fixation to the bone, ensuring an atraumatic palatal expansion.

Moreover, the Turvey Palatal Expander features a spring mechanism between the stems of the handle. As a result, surgeons can press the stems to open the jaws and exert minimal pressure to separate the palate.

Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
