The Schmid Vessel Irrigation Cannula offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to inject solutions into the vessels, which usually contain heparin for treating thrombosis.

For this purpose, the instrument features a straight tube that provides enhances surgical sightlines. In addition, the tip’s diameter ranges from 3.0 to 6.0mm to accommodate a variety of vessels. Also, several models of the device include a ball-ended tip to dilate and protect the endothelium.

Moreover, the Schmid Vessel Irrigation Cannula features a bottom Luer lock connection. Surgeons can attach an irrigation system to the Luer hub to flush the desired solution with ease.
