El Periostótomo de Mead brinda un amplio abanico de beneficios en cirugías que involucran los huesos. Desempeña la importante función de separar los tejidos adheridos al hueso, como el periostio y, en algunos casos, la mucosa.

Para tal propósito, el instrumento cuenta con un diseño de doble extremo para cumplir diversos propósitos. De tal modo, el instrumento cuenta con una punta cortante y de borde recto para hacer las incisiones iniciales. La punta opuesta, en cambio, exhibe un borde romo y ovalado para ampliar la incisión inicial y elevar el periostio.

Nuestro Periostótomo de Mead ostenta también un mango central y cilíndrico para un manejo impecable. Además, su superficie moleteada ofrece una sensación de confort al tacto que a la vez previene el resbalamiento.
