The Negus Tongue Depressor offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to press down the tongue and drain saliva and other fluids during oral surgery.

For this purpose, the instrument features a curved blade that accommodates to the jawbone with comfort. In addition, the blade is available in multiple sizes, ranging from 70 x 20 to 95 x 35mm. Also, the blade’s edges include a fenestrated suction tube for optimal drainage.

Moreover, the Negus Tongue Depressor features a solid, flat handle that surgeons can insert into mouth gags. When assembled, the depressor and mouth gag ensure exceptional visualization of the oropharynx.
