The Hess Nerve Root Retractor offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to pull back root nerves away from other cutting devices during laminectomy, discectomy and other procedures.

For this purpose, the instrument features a 90° angled flat tip that provides exceptional surgical traction. In addition, the tip’s edges are dull to avoid nerve irritation. Furthermore, the working end size ranges from 3 to 7mm, which ensures the retraction of small and larger nerves.

Moreover, the Hess Nerve Root Retractor’s shaft angles inwards two times, forming an arch that permits an optimal surgical view. Also, the hollow handle includes a bottom hook for resting the fingers and minimize fatigue during lengthy procedures.

Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
