For this purpose, the instrument features single or double flexible arms that ensure optimal self-retaining retractions. In addition, one end of the arms easily attaches to the fixation base, which surgeons mount on an extracranial holder. The opposite end holds the spatula supports for round and flat spatulas.
Moreover, the Yasargil (Leyla) Brain Retractor includes a holding rod that surgeons can attach to the operating table. The holding rod’s end features a coupling head where the operator can mount 1 to 5 flexible arms.
