The Draffin Bipod Rod offers a wide array of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide a secure method to hold the Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag in place, thereby exposing the oropharynx and other structures.

For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of slim rods with four circular fenestrations. Furthermore, surgeons can cross the terminal holes and fixate the Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag’s base. After that, the operator can open the mouth with the gag.

Moreover, the Draffin Bipod Rod features a base plate with small perforations for inserting the rods. The plate is ideal to set the rods at a triangular position and enable surgeons to converge the terminal holes.
