For this purpose, the instrument features fenestrated wire blades, which help to observe the eyelids’ conjunctiva. In addition, 11 and 15mm blade sizes are available to accommodate pediatric and adult patients equally.

Moreover, the Williams Eye Speculum features an adjustable spring mechanism to tighten the blades before insertion. This function allows surgeons to self-lock the device at the desired width and manipulate other instruments.
