The Veress Insufflation Cannula offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to atraumatically access the peritoneal cavity and insufflate it with carbon dioxide, thereby creating pneumoperitoneum.

For this purpose, the instrument features a straight cannula with a spring-loaded stylet that prevents accidental injury. In addition, the cannula has a 2.0mm port with a sharp cutting edge that is ideal to traverse the peritoneum.

Moreover, the Veress Insufflation Cannula features a butterfly screw to control the flow of gas. Also, the device has a Luer hub that works as a connection site between the cannula and the insufflation system.
