The Van Buren Urethral Sound offers a wide range of benefits during urology procedures. Its principal use is to atraumatically dilate the urethra to drain urine from collapsed urinary bladders.

For this purpose, the instrument features a solid, cylindrical structure with a curved end that conforms to the urethra’s anatomy. In addition, the tube is available in multiple diameters, ranging from 2.7 to 12.0mm. As a result, the sound accommodates to a variety of urethral anatomies.
