The Smith-Peterson Bone Gouge brings multiple advantages to the operating room. These advantages are important to remove diseased bone tissue and to collect bone grafting material.

For this purpose, the instrument features a wide, concave blade supplied with a sharp cutting edge. Moreover, the blade is available in multiple sizes, ranging from 6.0 to 25mm. As a result, surgeons can harvest soft, cancellous bone tissue from delicate and large bone surfaces.

In addition, the device features a solid, bulky handle equipped with a bottom circular platform. The platform is ideal to receive a mallet impact once the operator has pressed the blade against the bone surface.
