The Sigmoid Notch Extraoral Retractor offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to pull back the mandibular notch between the coronoid and condyloid processes.

For this purpose, the instrument features a concave shaft the enhances sightlines and permits deep explorations. In addition, the shaft ends in a convexly curved blade that is ideal to perform inferior and lateral retraction of the notch.
