El Separador para Osteotomía de Awty ofrece un amplio abanico de beneficios en cirugías dentales y maxilofaciales. Su función radica en separar tejidos durante osteotomías de LeFort y dividir el borde inferior de la mandíbula en cirugías ortognáticas.

Para este fin, el instrumento posee una hoja rectangular cuyo borde exhibe un ángulo de 90°. De tal modo, este diseño es ideal para aferrarse a los bordes de ciertas estructuras con firmeza. Además, su estructura es conveniente en la división ósea de la mandíbula.
