El Separador de Jansen brinda un rango extenso de beneficios, en especial en microcirugía. Su función consiste en ampliar los márgenes de una incisión para acceder a la zona quirúrgica.

Para este fin, el instrumento cuenta con una estructura sólida y fuerte que garantiza retracciones excepcionales. Asimismo, sus brazos curvados amplían la visión entre los bordes separados. En sus puntas, los brazos exhiben tres dientes romos, curvados hacia afuera para no interferir con el campo visual.
