The Semb Bronchus Clamps are important instruments during cardiothoracic surgery. They offer a wide set of benefits to the surgeon that comes in handy to occlude the bronchi.
For instance, the clamps come with slightly or strongly curved jaws. The jaws have a smooth internal surface, and their curved design adapts to the bronchi’s shape. As a result, surgeons can occlude small of large bronchial sections while avoiding injury.
Besides, the device has long, curved shanks that connect the boxlock with ergonomic finger rings. Moreover, the shanks feature a ratchet mechanism for locking the instrument in place. This permits self-retaining occlusions and lets the operator’s hands rest.
Lastly, all our Semb Bronchus Clamps have a terminal eye for inserting sutures. Consequently, surgeons can also use the instrument as a suture holder.
