The Sauer Fixation Forcep offers a broad range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to manipulate fragile structures of the eye and certain materials during glaucoma or cataract surgeries.

For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of very fine, straight jaws that ensure access within the anterior chamber and other small areas. In addition, the tips of the jaws include 1 x 2 delicate teeth, which provide exceptional clamping action.

Moreover, the Sauer Fixation Forcep features a spring handle with outer ridges that enhance gripping. As a result, surgeons can close the tips against each other with optimal pressure control and prevent slippage.
