Richnau-Holmgren Ear Specula enables doctors to detect diseases in the external canal of the ear, as well as the eardrum. Hence, it assists them to treat ear obstruction that can affect hearing. In addition, they can clean infections, wax, foreign bodies and ear discharge.

Therefore, we designed the device with grip handles to offer you control and dexterity. Moreover, its cone has a long profile to reach deep spaces in the ear without strain.

You can start by pulling back the ear to straighten the canal. Then, place the cone into the ear canal slowly. The tip is blunt to prevent injuring surrounding structures. In addition, it has a straight and broad profile to enhance your vision of the external ear. After the exam, the spring assembly regains its default position.

The Richnau-Holmgren Ear speculum is available with multiple diameters ranging from 2 to 4 mm to cover a wide range of patients. We also offer other devices like the Toynbee Ear Speculum for your convenience in ear exams. You can use these tools to suit every patient’s needs.
