El Retractor Piriforme de Hargis ofrece beneficios excepcionales en procedimientos reconstructivos del cráneo. Su función radica en retraer los tejidos que cubren el borde piriforme durante cirugías maxilares.

Para lograrlo, el instrumento posee una hoja en L y acanalada que brinda dos ventajas. Primero, su diseño en L no obstaculiza con la visión del cirujano, y luego su perfil acanalado evita daños a los tejidos traccionados. Además, su punta angulada es perfecta para aferrarse al borde piriforme.
