Post Mortem Hammers assist forensic doctors to cut and divide bones. This can help separate the upper and lower parts of the skull in order to examine the brain during autopsy procedures. Doctors can therefore obtain biopsies to diagnose tumors and infections in order to know the cause of death.

The forensic doctor uses the hammer to strike bone chisels. They can start by placing the chisel blade under the bony segment. In that position, striking the chisel can lift the blade to separate the bones above it.

Therefore, we designed the Post Mortem Hammer with a long handle to enhance your grip and dexterity. Moreover, it has a curved hook to increase your comfort and prevent hand slips.

We made the square blade with a large area for hitting chisels easily. This ensures an easier bone separation. Furthermore, the slender neck allows you to hold the blade securely to prevent accidental slips and slides.

The Post Mortem Hammer is 24 cm long. In addition, we make chisels for your convenience, like the Post Mortem Chisel. Hence, you can combine these tools to customize your approach in every procedure.

Instruments manufacture these devices from premium grade stainless steel that you can depend on for years of efficient service.
