The Pelkmann Foreign Body Forcep offers a wide array of surgical advantages for general surgeons. Its principal use is to grasp and mobilize foreign objects away from the operating site.

In addition, the device features a pair of elongated shafts that connect the boxlock to a ratchet. Also, the ratchet helps in providing self-retaining grasps for maneuvering the foreign objects with ease.
