Metzenbaum-Nelson Dissecting Scissors are used for the blunt dissection of delicate tissues. They are not appropriate for cutting sutures, drains, or heavy tissue. Also, this particular variation is longer than the standard Metzenbaum scissors which affords it access to deeper tissue. Another special feature are the blunt tips that make the instrument atraumatic. The product is available in both straight and curved variations.
