The Mayo SuperEdge™ Dissecting Scissor offers a broad range of surgical advantages. It provides the most efficient cutting technologies with high-wear cutting edges for long-life performance.

For these purposes, the instrument features precise ground bevelled blades attached by a riveted joint, ensuring smooth movements. In addition, the scissors include different technologies that enhance soft and hard tissue dissection.

For example, the black-coated scissors include the SuperEdge™ technology, which consists of single-bladed micro-serrations. As a result, surgeons achieve clean forward cutting with minimal pressure.

On the other hand, the black/gold-coated Mayo SuperEdge™ Dissecting Scissors feature the XTSCut™ technology. It combines the SuperEdge™ and UltraCut™ properties, resulting in micro-serrations with tungsten carbide inserts. This permits to cut heavy tissues without jeopardizing local structures.
