For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of right-angled jaws that are ideal to reach a variety of surgical target. In addition, the inner surfaces of the jaws have longitudinal serrations to clamp heavy tissues with ease.

Moreover, the Longitudinally Serrated Mixter Dissecting and Ligature Forcep features a ratchet for self-locking the jaws. Surgeons can apply four levels of pressure to the clamped tissues using the ratchet.
