The Landolt Spreader offers a broad range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to permit the access of a transsphenoidal speculum during endonasal hypophysectomies.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of rubber, conical tips, attached by screws that ensure maximum fixation. Surgeons introduce the rubber cone into the transsphenoidal space and gently presses the handle. As a result, the sphenoidal bone spreads to the width required for inserting specula.
Moreover, the Landolt Spreader features a plier grip style handle that enhances gripping. Also, the device includes a double spring mechanism and a riveted joint that permit to close the tips against each other with smooth motion.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel to ensure the highest quality instruments in your operating rooms.
