The Koerte Spatula is one of the principal instruments within the laparotomy set. It owes its name to the German surgeon Werner Körte and offers various benefits.
For example, the whole device has a flat design that helps in accessing hidden anatomical spaces. Also, the spatula has a slight grade of flexibility for avoiding forcible retractions.
In addition, the blade has a L-shaped design and a 46mm lenght. This feature allows surgeons to hold back large organs while performing exploratory laparotomy.
Moreover, the solid handle comes with a small bottom hook. As a result, assistants can rest their hands during static tractions.
Lastly, all our Koerte Spatulas are available in surgical grade stainless steel.
