The Kilner-Doughty Mouth Gag offers a wide range of benefits during oral surgery. Its principal use is to separate the upper and lower dental arches without injuring the temporomandibular joint.
For this purpose, the instrument features a U-shaped frame with a superior rail to elevate the upper dental arch. In addition, the superior rail holds two sliding claws that face against tooth and the palate plate.
Moreover, the Kilner-Doughty Mouth Gag is available in a frame only presentation or with three tongue depressors. Furthermore, the tongue depressors’ size ranges from small to large to accommodate a variety of patients.
This device features a rectangular handle that attaches to the U-shaped frame. The handle has a ratchet rail to insert the fenestrated tongue depressors and adjust them at the desired position.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
