The Ives-Fansler Anoscope offers a wide array of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to observe the anal mucosa during haemorrhoidectomy.

For this purpose, the instrument features a smooth-surfaced, tubular profile to rotate the device in different directions. In addition, the device includes a bullet with a round tip. After the operator lubricates the anus, the round tip facilitates insertion.

Moreover, the Ives-Fansler Anoscope features a handle with two fenestrations to prevent slippage. Also, the device is available in with or without fibre optic according to illumination preferences.
