Secures and spreads adjacent ribs to enlarge thoracotomy incision for better surgical manipulation.
Especially includes fenestrated lateral blades that allow a secure grip on tissues. Includes angled blades that contort to the rib surface for efficient retraction. The fenestrations minimize soft tissue damage.
Moreover, the smooth edges of the instrument prevent inadvertent soft tissue damage.
The retracting forceps have an ergonomic design and lightweight for comfortable handling. The lightweight is especially useful for decreasing user fatigue during long procedures.
Includes screw lock which secures the blades at the optimum retraction.
