The Gerl Suture Tying Forcep offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to close the edges of minute incisions during glaucoma, cataract and other eye surgeries.

For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of very fine, curved jaws to easily traverse fragile structures. In addition, the jaws have 6.5mm long platforms with a smooth surface for holding needles with safety.

Moreover, the Gerl Suture Tying Forcep features a fenestrated spring handle with transverse ridges. The fenestrations serve as finger support and the ridges help to minimize the risk of slippage.
