El Gancho de Worst ofrece un amplio abanico de beneficios durante el acto quirúrgico. Su función principal consiste en asistir durante el tratamiento quirúrgico del sistema lagrimal lacerado.

Para este fin, el instrumento cuenta con un diseño versátil de dos extremo. Además, cada extremo consta de un gancho espiralado, en forma de “rabo de cerdo”. Sus puntas son romas para evitar traumas a tejidos adyacentes y facilitar el paso a través de los conductos.
