The Finochietto Dissecting and Ligature Forcep offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to permit optimal haemostasis within the surgical field during ligature procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument features slender, right-angled jaws that ensure access to difficult surgical sites. In addition, the inner surfaces of the jaws have longitudinal serrations that minimize endothelial damage. Also, the tips of the jaws include an eyelet for passing sutures and guiding them through the operating site.
Moreover, the Finochietto Dissecting and Ligature Forcep features a ratchet between the handles. As a result, surgeons can self-retain the jaws at different pressure degrees.
