The Escaf Nucleus Manipulator has multiple advantages for performing phaco procedures. These advantages come in handy for grasping, holding, and extracting the nucleus.
For those purposes, the device comes with an atraumatic tip. Moreover, the tip features an olive-shaped profile and has a concave pattern. As a result, the tip can guide the fractured nucleus fragments to pass through the phaco tip.
In addition, the nucleus manipulator features a tapering, slim shank. Besides, the shank is resilient and has a 45 ° angle for fitting reaching narrow cavities.
