The Elschnig Fixation Forcep offers a wide array of benefits during surgeries that involve the eye. Its principal use is to provide a secure way to hold the superficial tissues of the globe.

For this purpose, the instrument features small, tapered tips supplied with 1 x 2 sharp teeth. Therefore, the tapered design ensures access to the small and narrow spaces within the eye. Also, the sharp teeth provide excellent clamping performance throughout the procedure.

Moreover, the Elschnig Fixation Forcep features a spring handle to manually control the clamping action. In addition, the outer surfaces of the handle feature small ridges that offer strong traction and prevent finger strain.
