The Doyen Butterfly Probe / Grooved Director offers multiple benefits for surgeons in all disciplines. Its main uses are to probe deep body cavities and permit optimal frenotomy incisions.

For this purpose, the instrument features a double-ended profile to carry on a broad range of functions. For example, the grooved shaft improves sightlines and ends in a probe tip. Surgeons can use the atraumatic tip to explore cavities and broaden ducts, fistulas and other spaces.

On the other hand, the Doyen Butterfly Probe / Grooved Director features a distal butterfly end. It has a central notch for enclosing the lingual frenum, which helps surgeons to easily treat ankyloglossia.
