The DeBakey-Rumel Atrauma Dissecting & Ligature Forceps is a scissor-like instrument that offers multiple benefits for surgeons. These benefits are especially useful during procedures that require efficient hemostasis.
For this purpose, the forceps come with 81mm long jaws with 1 x 2 serration teeth. Moreover, the jaws can be both slightly or strongly curved, thereby reaching narrow spaces. Apart from this, the serrations grant an atraumatic profile that avoids endothelium damage.
Besides, the forceps come with long, resilient shanks that connect the boxlock with a ratchet. As a result, surgeons can lock the instrument in place and perform static blood vessel occlusions.
