The Dean Tonsil Scissor includes blunt tips that are ideal for blunt dissection of tissues.
Cuts mucous membranes, muscle tissues, blood vessels as well as fibrous tissue and sutures. It is also often used to grasp and remove masses from the oral cavity.
Especially designed with an upward angled blade which allows easy access of structures at the back of the oral cavity. The instrument has one toothed blade that increase cutting performance. They do this by efficient distribution of force along their narrow edge.
The operating scissor has blunt tips which prevent soft tissue damage. Also, the smooth outer edges of instrument protect adjacent soft tissue.
Includes curved shanks which contort to the tissues of the mouth. This allows easy access to the depths of the cavity.
The Dean Tonsil Scissor has ergonomic ring handles to minimize user fatigue. In addition, the streamlined body and lightweight of instrument also minimize stress on surgeon’s hand.
Short blades to shank ratio ensure better control over dissection. The instrument is also available with or without serrated blades. The serrated blades ensure secure grip on tissues.
