The Dahlgren Cranial Rongeur offers a wide array of benefits. Its principal use is to debulk the desired skull bone during neurosurgical procedures that require intracranial access.

For this purpose, the instrument features a hook-shaped tip that ensures precise and linear bone cuts. In addition, the tip attaches to an adjustable pin, which allows surgeons to manipulate the hook’s angle for engaging in multiple approaches.

Moreover, the Dahlgren Cranial Rongeur features a plier grip style handle with horizontal ridges. As a result, surgeons obtain an exceptional grip that prevents finger strain during lengthy procedures. Also, one of the handle’s stems has a thumb horn for avoiding slippage.
