The Collin Tongue Holding Forceps offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to manipulate and grasp the tongue during hemiglossectomy, tongue-tie removal and other procedures.

For this purpose, the instrument features oval jaws with wide fenestrations to hold the tongue and expose its mucosa. After that, surgeons can evaluate the surgical approach and dissect tumours or a portion of the tongue if necessary. Also, they can harvest biopsy samples, and the serrated jaws prevent damage while providing a strong grip.

Moreover, the Collin Tongue Holding Forceps features finger rings that enhance gripping and prevent slippage. Furthermore, the handle’s stems include a ratcheted mechanism for self-locking the jaws a the desired width.
