The Cheron Dressing Forcep is a scissor-like, hand-held instrument that assists in several surgical techniques. Its principal use is to maintain an optimal view of the surgical field.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of oval jaws with serrations that assist in grasping dressings. Moreover, the jaws have the perfect size for carrying gauzes, swabs, and drapes for packing wounds.
In addition, the shanks angle forward for engaging in difficult surgical approaches. Also, the ratchet mechanism helps in self-locking the instrument for maneuvering the dressing with comfort.
