The Castroviejo Cyclodialysis Spatula brings multiple benefits to the ophthalmic operating room. These benefits come in handy for dissociating the cyclodialysis cleft tissue before its repairing.
For this purpose, the device comprises a double-ended design. Moreover, the instrument features opposite flat spatula tips on each end, one measuring 0.25mm and the other 0.5mm. As a result, surgeons can separate the ciliary body from the sclera, thereby setting the conditions for cyclodialysis repairing.
In addition, the instrument features a solid, round handle. Also, the handle has horizontal ridges covering its surface, which secure a strong grip and prevent fatigue.
