Secures and spreads adjacent ribs during thoracotomy to gain better surgical access to internal organs.
Especially includes solid lateral blades that allow a secure grip on tissues. The blades have curves that contort to the rib surface for efficient retraction.
Moreover, the smooth edges of the instrument prevent inadvertent soft tissue damage.
The retracting forceps have an ergonomic design and lightweight for comfortable handling. The lightweight is especially useful for decreasing user fatigue during long procedures.
