Especially includes outward curving prongs that slip under the tissues and retract both edges. The instrument is available with long and short prongs to suit the demands of different incision sites. The unique curve of the jaws also ensures smooth placement. In addition, the smooth outer built of the instrument protects adjacent soft tissue from damage. It includes ergonomic finger ring handles which improve control. Also, the hinged shanks of the instrument allow the surgeons to access difficult to reach incisions and enhance view with ease.

The instrument has a smooth design and lightweight which allows comfortable handling. Moreover, the ratchet lock allows surgeons to use both hands during the procedure.

The Beckmann-Adson Self Retaining Retractor is available in an overall length of 30.5 cm perfect for medium to large incisions.
