The surgeon lubes the anal opening and gently inserts the 70 by 22 mm blades of Barr Rectal Speculum inside the anal canal. The finger rings are then used to spread open the anus, which is then locked using a ratchet mechanism.
The overall length of the instrument is 17 cm – 6 3/4″, Blade Size 70 x 22 mm and features a ring handle and a rivet screw mechanism.
