The Alan-Parks Rectal Speculum offers a wide array of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to observe the lower digestive tract and diagnose rectal pathologies.

For this purpose, the instrument features three flat, curved blades with a rotatable profile ensuring multi-directional dilation. Also, the blades include blunt edges that minimize mucosal trauma and haemorrhoid tearing.

Moreover, the Alan-Parks Rectal Speculum features a pair of finger rings to control the blades’ aperture. In addition, the screw mechanism attached to the rings permits to self-lock the blades at the desired width.
