The Rentsch Boat Hook offers a wide array of benefits for the ophthalmic surgical staff. These benefits are useful to perform several steps during phaco and other cataract procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument comes with a bifurcated, atraumatic tip that resembles the shape of a boat. Moreover, one tip is straight and the other has a convex curve. Surgeons can take advantage of the blunt profile of the tip for retracting the iris and the capsular bag.
