The Z Hook Manipulator offers a broad range of benefits for the ophthalmic surgical staff. These benefits take center stage for manipulating the eye’s cornea and lamella during DLEK.
For this purpose, the instrument features a Z-shaped hook with an atraumatic profile. Moreover, the hook’s tip has a blunt design, which avoids inadvertent punctures. Also, its outline allows surgeons to position the donor’s lamella edge during DLEK.
In addition, the device includes a solid, round handle with a knurled pattern covering its surface. This particular feature comes in handy for minimizing finger strain and fatigue.
