The Overholt-Baby Dissecting and Ligature Forcep offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to allow surgeons to perform haemostasis by ligature of small vessels.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of tapered, curved jaws that help to traverse narrow passages. In addition, the inner serrations of each jaw are useful to prevent local and endothelial damage.
Moreover, the Overholt-Baby Dissecting and Ligature Forcep features a boxlock joint to close the jaws with ease. Also, the shafts include a ratchet system for self-locking the instrument at different degrees of clamping pressure.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
