The Desjardins Bile Duct Clamp offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to assist surgeons during hepatobiliary surgery and exploration of the common bile duct.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of curved downwards jaws that ensure optimal duct handling. In addition, the inner surfaces of the jaws have horizontal serrations that enhance gripping and prevent injury.
Moreover, the Desjardins Bile Duct Clamp features a ratchet between the shafts to self-lock the device. As a result, surgeons can apply three different levels of clamping pressure to block the bile flow.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
