For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of concave, fenestrated jaws supplied with smooth surfaces. In addition, the jaw€™s curvatures have a special design to atraumatically suit the fetal head. Their fenestrated profile allows for achieving excellent sightlines.

Moreover, the Nagele Obstetrical Forceps features a plier grip handle provided with a secure lock. As a result, surgeons can lock the jaws around the fetal head and proceed to rotate or pull the baby. Also, the handle includes lateral horns to support the traction force.
